Preparing for laser hair removal is simple, but important. Do not wax or tweeze the area for a month, sticking only to shaving, so we can target the follicles. For at least 2 weeks before your appointment, avoid tanning and self-tanners, as melanin changes can affect how your skin absorbs the laser energy. Do not take antibiotics or photosensitizing medications for at least a week, unless your provider says otherwise, and only use gentle skincare products.
The night before your appointment, shave the area so we can deliver laser energy to the follicles’ roots beneath your skin. Do not apply any lotions, deodorants, makeup, or other products to the area, as they can act as a barrier. On the day of your treatment, avoid caffeine if you’re sensitive, wear comfortable clothing, and bring sunscreen to apply afterward.
Once you arrive at The Aesthetics Society, you can relax. You’re in the hands of experts who care about your comfort and confidence, guiding you every step of the way.
